Creating Colourful calligraphy with Adobe Illustrator
Updated: Dec 14, 2021
Using Adobe Illustrator I created colourful calligraphy and developed my graphics skills further.

To do this I imported a selected image of flowers and then created a colour swatch that I liked.

Once I had a colour swatch I liked, I chose the bottom colour swatch and gradient, I then created a new page and wrote a word to relate back to my topic in calligraphy style. I wrote “Flower”

Next I copied over my gradient onto the same page as the calligraphy to do the next step.
This allowed me to do the next steps to create the final outcome. Firstly, I selected all the layers, the calligraphy and the colour gradient. Secondly, I selected the “object” tab on the top left of the screen. Next I clicked on the “blend” tab from within the object drop down tab. This then allowed me to click the “replace spine” option which gave me the final outcome of my colourful calligraphy.
