Zaha Hadid
Zaha Hadid was a British-Iraqi architect from the late 20th century into the early 21st century. She was well known within the architectural industry and was majorly praised by most.
Zaha created many buildings with a common theme of extraordinary as they all showed bizarre and wacky ideas of the mind of Hadid. Throughout her career she designed almost 1000 projects for a total of 44 countries.
Hadid’s inspiration came from many places. One of those influences was the artist, Kazimir Malevich, who led her to use paint as a tool for architectonic exploration. This encouraged the beginning of her architectural legacy with the painstaking theoretical designs years before she finally realised her designs.
I think Zaha Hadid’s architecture is very interesting and visually pleasing through their curves throughout. I like the buildings as they put her designs to life in monumental scales as a nod to her legacy left behind. The futuristic designs of her architecture inspire me in garment construction as I can see how I would interpret it and develop it into a garment or collection through pleats, zips and curves on a garment.
