Doug Evans

Viviane Sassen was born in 1972 in Amsterdam where she still lives today. She first studied Fashion Design and later turned to photography which led to Sassen eventually getting a MFA in Fine Art from the Royal Academy in Arnhem, Netherlands.

On Sassen's website, https://www.vivianesassen.com/works/ her photography artwork is set into sub-categories with related themes such as her "2002-2004 Die Son Sien Alles" where she photographed Cape Town during several visits where she focused her photographs to interior decoration of peoples homes, shops and bars.

Common themes throughout Sassens photography pieces are looks into peoples lives and expressing them through the images. Sassen uses colours, shapes, powders and paints to enhance her images where there is often exchanges or interactions between different elements within the images.
